We’ve all experienced it.  Well, I hope you have….that moment when you lock eyes with someone, whether it's a stranger across the room at a party, or with someone you’ve been crushing on.  Part of you says “Look away!” while the other half says “I don’t want this moment to ever end.”  Your heart takes a giant leap; you are unaware of others around you.  You wonder if it’s really happening and if he or she will look away first.  You contemplate whether this is the beginning of something awesome…

…and boom 1.5 seconds later, the moment is gone.  Dang it.  What did it all mean????  Sometimes these awesome eye-locking experiences are followed up with a conversation, or in my case just yesterday, was over in a fleeting glance.

Here’s what happened:

I was backing out of a parking space as a gorgeous man pulled into the space beside me.  We locked eyes (which is not a great idea when your foot is on the gas and you’re in reverse, by the way.)  I had to continue my movement.  As did he, so he exited his vehicle.  We had to break the stare at that point.  It just wasn’t safe, as I was nearing the gas pumps.  As I approached the street to pull out – he stopped at the door and looked back at me.  Then, we both continued on. The beautiful moment was over.  (…sigh)  Oh well, it was fun, albeit brief.

The eyes are the window to the soul…so it is said.  What about the rest of us?  What are we saying physically?   Read this to find out more!
